Event Management – Event and Exhibit Design students will be competing to create the best tabletop design at Inspired Spaces — the School of Fashion’s annual tabletop design competition.

The event takes place on Tuesday, Feb. 24 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Event Rental Group Showroom, located at 210 Wicksteed Ave. in Toronto.
As part of the contest, students are required to develop an event from the ground up and determine the venue, menu and decor. Their chosen event requires them to create an original tabletop using the skills and knowledge they have gained through the program.   A panel of industry professionals will be on hand to formally judge each entry.

The Event Management program at Seneca is unique within Ontario in that it provides students with a specialization in design for the event and exhibit industry (galas, festivals, parades and trade shows). Aimed at giving them the necessary breadth and depth of knowledge, they learn analysis, planning, budgeting, sourcing and creation of décor, props and visuals for events and exhibits. Students benefit from industry professionals who have designed the curriculum and deliver it from a practical perspective. They bring their many years of experience in design, special events and exhibit management to assist them  in getting the education they need to succeed in a competitive and growing industry.
