On February 3, 2014 ISES Calgary hosted Karen Tran of Karen Tran Florals at the Fairmont Palliser hotel for ISES CONNECTS. This was a record breaking attendance for the chapter year.
Guests mingled in the reception area upon arrival as they were treated to passed prosecco, décor by Fusion Bollywood and the sounds of a jazz pianist & singer. Attendees were then wowed as doors opened to reveal the beautifully decorated tables in the Crystal ballroom for the tabletop competition.
ISES Calgary held a tabletop competition and 14 entries participated. One West Events and Occasional Bloom won speaker’s choice and Lynn Fletcher and Fleurish Flower Shop won voter’s choice. Guests were able to sit at their favorite table and the table décor served as the décor for the room. Local Floral designer Lea Romanowski from Designing on the Edge was given the challenge to create floral arrangements for the stage that would tie in with the ISES brand story.
Lea and her team created 4 incredible pieces signifying Creativity, Inspiration, Teamwork and Relationships. The talented world renowned Karen Tran attended with her daughter Emily and spoke about creating your own market.
