The Canadian Event Industry Awards are the mark of achievement in the Canadian event industry. The Star Awards program has been running successfully in Canada for 14 years and has handed out over 400 awards to Canadian producers, designers, chefs, entertainers, caterers, marketers and planners from every area of the industry. You can enter your own events. Simply download the Call for Entries and follow the step by step instructions. This year the deadline to enter is February 4th 2011. You do not need to be a member of anything to enter the Star Awards. The program is open to any event that qualifies.
Qualifying Period
The entry period for the 14th Annual event is for any event or qualifying element produced between January 1, 2010 and December 31, 2010. All entries must be received by February 4, 2011. All entries must now be submitted online. No hard copy mailed entries will be accepted. A new entry system will be launched in the fall of 2010 and will begin accepting submissions Oct 1, 2010.
Submitting Your Events
Your entry will consist of images, video (some categories require this some do not), event objectives, event descriptions, summaries, budgets (in some categories) reference letters and entry form. The fees for entering is $75 per entering company.
Nominees & Winners
Once you have submitted your event, they will be judged based on a pre determined set of criteria and a minimum of two nominees in each award category will be selected from the entries submitted. The CEP Magazine National Advisory Council will complete the final judging. Nominees will be announced on March 1 2010 and Winners will be announced at the Gala Awards Dinner held in Toronto on March 25th, 2011.
