The BC Event Awards is a regional awards program recognizing outstanding achievements in special events, meeting management, and conference planning and exhibition management. In the last 3 years canadianspecialevents.com has presented top honors to 60 BC companies who all went on to complete in the national star awards program.

The 2011 BCEA just took place in Vancouver and the winners are listed here. In 2012 we are doing it again in October in conjunction with the canadianspecialevents.com Expo12 West.

The awards are open to any British Columbia based company that has produced an event or qualifying element of an event within the eligibility period or any company which has produced an event in the province of BC within the eligibility period. This is a public competition and is open to any individual or company which fulfills the qualifications.

Qualifying Period:

The 2012 BCEA qualifying period is between September 1, 2011  and August 31, 2012. All entries must be received by September 25th.

Winners:

Winners will be presented at EXPO12 WEST – BCEA winners whose events fall into the national Star Awards eligibility period will be eligible for automatic nomination as a finalist for the Star Awards. NOTE: The Star Awards and the BC Event Awards are NOT inter related and if you enter the BCEA you may RE enter the same event in the National Star Awards and your event will compete against a different set of entrants.

How to Enter:

You may enter your own events for consideration. Simply follow the step by step instructions on the Call for Entries (available online June 2012) which includes preparing your event description, organizing images and or video and budgets, gathering client references and lastly putting it all together into an entry and submitting it online. You will be notified by email if you are chosen as a nominee and you are invited to attend the award ceremony to find out if your event won.

Congratulations to the 2011 BCEA Winners.
