After 2 years, longtime clients Beedie Development Group were eager to host an epic return to live events as a give back to their staff, colleagues, friends, & the greater community coming out of the COVID pandemic and BrandLive was more than happy to make it happen.
Inspired by music festival culture, this one-day event safely welcomed over 2400 attendees to Malkin Bowl in the heart of Vancouver’s beautiful Stanley Park. Guests enjoyed a fully hosted, expertly curated food & beverage experience, roaming entertainment, inspired merch, & a stellar musical lineup with a headlining surprise performance by The Killers! All the while highlighting the work of the YWCA Metro Vancouver & generating an astounding $333,500 in funds to support their important initiatives.
The Brandlive team created moments of surprise & delight for attendees as soon as they stepped into the event. Guests could work with onsite screen printers to design a custom T-shirt, order artisanal cappuccinos or lattes from onsite baristas, have their photo taken in the immersive “Living Lounge”; satisfy their sweet tooth with a specialty Lucky’s donut from the donut wall or choose a selection of bespoke merchandise items.
Food Trucks were on site serving up some of Vancouver’s best eats & the festival bars were curated with Vancouver’s trendiest craft beers & BC’s best wines. Additionally, a 6 piece roving hipster marching band entertained guests upon arrival & check-in while roaming characters entertained inside the festival grounds
In order to put on a show that exceeded the creativity & vibe of past iterations of this event, they first needed to ensure they created an environment where it was safe to gather & celebrate. Brandlive worked closely with Vancouver Coastal Health & the Vancouver Park Board to achieve this & ensure all proper PHO protocols were met.
What would a concert experience be without the talent? Beedie Rock ‘N The Park 2021 featured a comprehensive lineup that included up-and-coming talent, local rockers, national icons, & international headliners including Bitterly Divine, Sir Sly, Metric, 54-40, Billy Idol & a powerful performance by the one and only Killers.
Congrats to everyone who helped make this event a great success, & good luck at the Canadian Event Awards Gala from Liberty Grand Entertainment Complex on Sept 28, 2022. The CEA Gala is the last event of CSE Live 2022, EventFest, Canada’s premier event for Canadian event professionals and can be found here.
