Celebrating Excellence in Live Events
The Canadian Event Awards has long been a beacon of excellence, celebrating the professionals who create extraordinary experiences that shape Canada’s cultural and economic fabric. This year, the program expands its impact, introducing new award categories to honour both emerging talent and lifelong contributions to the industry
New Awards Reflect Industry Trends & Emerging Specialties
This year’s award categories reflect the evolving landscape of live events and the growing influence of experiential marketing. Experiential & Brand Activation categories saw a record-breaking number of entries, highlighting how brands use immersive storytelling and engagement to connect with audiences.
Academic Institution and Municipality event categories experienced a surge in submissions, showcasing the industry’s adoption of live events as a powerful platform for engagement and communication within communities.
“The level of creativity, resilience, and innovation in this year’s submissions was truly inspiring,” said Stacy Wyatt, Creative Director of Canadian Special Events.
“From cutting-edge event production to pioneering sustainability initiatives, this competition continues to push boundaries and redefine what’s possible in our industry.”
Judging Process & Gala Celebration
The Canadian Event Awards are known for their rigorous, merit-based judging process, with industry experts evaluating submissions based on innovation, problem-solving, design & execution and overall Impact
Final Judging takes place March 23–30, 2025 and winners will be announced live on April 30 at the Canadian Event Awards Gala at Universal Eventspace, hosted by Peter and Paul’s Hospitality Group and produced by e=mc² events.
The Gala is a highlight of CSE Live – The Show for People Who Plan Events, taking place at the Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto. Over 1,500 event professionals will come together for a festival-style trade show, thought leadership sessions, and immersive networking experiences. Tickets can be purchased here.
