Love, Light & Modern Elegance: A July Wedding at The Manor Event Venue

Last summer, Liana Preziosa and MarcAnthony Francella celebrated their marriage in the Elizabeth Hall at The Manor Event Venue by Peter & Paul’s Hospitality Group in King, Ontario. Situated beside a peaceful, man-made lake and surrounded by the well-maintained greens of The Carrying Place Golf & Country Club, the setting enhanced every moment while ensuring the experience remained effortless for guests.

The day had a clear theme: modern elegance softened by romance. A refined colour palette of creams, light pinks, and taupey browns extended from floral arrangements to tablescapes, creating a dreamy, ethereal atmosphere that looked stunning in golden hour photography. Large glass panes and the venue’s expansive patio blurred the indoor-outdoor boundary; the lake view completed the scene.

Cocktail hour took place outside with lounge sets, signature drinks from the patio bar, and live saxophone music by Carson Freeman, creating a relaxed, sophisticated vibe. Guests mingled, enjoyed the scenery, and eased into celebration mode, showing how a simple entertainment choice, well-placed, can transform the entire event ambiance.

Dinner service reflected the couple’s taste for refined comfort. Canapés opened the evening, followed by a four-course menu that balanced seasonal flavours with elegant presentation. Late-night snacks brought a playful touch: grilled cheese, crispy fries, onion rings, and the city’s beloved Tiny Tom Donuts, an energetic pacing choice that re-energized the room and kept the dance floor busy.

Design choices appeared deliberate rather than purely decorative. The floral arrangements complemented the colour palette without overwhelming the space; linens and décor enhanced sightlines; stationery items like custom menu cards conveyed expectations while adding a personal touch. The overall look was polished yet natural, timeless images that still captured spontaneity.

What stood out most was the warmth radiating from the couple. Liana and MarcAnthony’s connection was palpable, gracious, grounded, and fully present with their guests. That tone carried through the service as well. The Manor’s team is renowned for five-star hospitality; on this night, timing, flow, and guest care were evidently on point from the start of the reception to the last dance. The venue’s size, 34,000 square feet across three rooms, offered flexibility without sacrificing cohesion, and the outdoor space felt like a dream, ideal for capturing beautiful transitions, romantic portraits and those intimate, heartfelt moments between the newlyweds.

Feedback from attendees highlighted three main themes: the beauty of the setting, the quality of the food, and the attentiveness of service. It’s the trifecta event professionals aim for: place, plate, pace, delivered consistently. For planners, the message is clear: match a couple’s aesthetic with a venue that naturally elevates it, then protect that harmony with thoughtful choices in entertainment, menu, and layout. Doing so allows the details to support rather than compete with each other.
