Based in Winnipeg, but performing virtually around the world, The Danny Kramer Dance Band is still racking up the accolades despite the inability to perform in person.
Led by Danny Kramer this talented group of entertainers features 7 vocalists, multiple Juno winners and a flexible lineup from 5 to 14 pieces. Last year, they were named finalists for Entertainer of the Year in the Canadian Event Awards, were awarded Best Entertainment Act for Manitoba/Saskatchewan by the prestigious Canadian Wedding Industry Awards, in 2017 won the regional title of Entertainer of The Year (Prairies) and in 2018 won the industry’s most coveted title of Canadian Entertainer of the Year.
For Danny, these are well-earned rewards for a job he gets up every day more in love with than when he started. Being a performer in a world where face-to-face events disappeared overnight was a challenge everyone faced together and through the support and commitment of his band, which is really more like a family, they were able to regroup and find new ways to provide their soulful sounds to clients around the world, through zoom events, live streams and of course pre-recorded performances.
“Wow” is what he hears a lot from his happy clients. The number one question they receive from guests from out of town is “Where is this band from?” When they hear Winnipeg, they seem shocked.
