Throwback to 2019 and the year of the Pig, Decor & More, one of Canada’s premier design houses took its inspiration for Year of The Pig at Casino Rama from the geometric architecture of I.M.Pei. The Suzhou Museum, designed by the modernist, is the last of many museums, buildings, and skyscrapers designed and constructed worldwide. One of the many symbolic elements that are important for the start of a lunar New Year, is the hexagon shape, symbolizing all six directions: north, south, east, west, together with Heaven and Earth, which are translated into “completeness. The circle and square stand for “fulfilled”, “oneness”, “perfection”, “unity”。We are guided by their shape’s simplicity and when used in combination, they convey harmony and discipline together.
“The Happiest of Animals in the Chinese Zodiac Sign philosophy is the Pig”
Year of the Pig was the foundation of this design esthetic, as his character is honest, simple, and reliable, just as found in the attributes of geometry. The happiest of animals in Chinese Zodiac philosophy, the Pig, has an unquenchable thirst for knowledge and success.
Bursting with shades of pink, orange, red, and gold, this sunset-inspired setting celebrates Chinese New Year 2019, Year of the Pig! This exciting collaboration of traditional icons and contemporary Chinese patterns.
