“The Bridal Party” at Hollyburn Country Club provided a girls’ night out for future brides and bridesmaids, mothers and mothers-in-law to socialize and interact with all the women involved in planning upcoming weddings. Women attended to gather information on the elements of a wedding that pertain to them – including bridesmaids dresses, gifts, photography, shower and party ideas. With local unique vendors on hand to chat about their wedding services and design suggestions, everyone was busy chatting, sampling and sharing concepts.
Upon arrival at the breathtaking Hollyburn Country Club, overlooking all of downtown Vancouver, young women showcasing beautiful bridesmaids’ dresses from Frocks were handing out gift bags full of goodies, magazines and gift certificates to guests. While enjoy delicious appetizers and wine, women perused the room full of colourful gifts from Girly Girls and delicate lingerie from Romantique. Other popular spots to stop around the party included a table full of Sugarlime’s unique jewellery, Davie & Chiyo’s adorable custom clutches and hair flowers, and Jayna Marie Makeup & Hair solutions. Jas Thorne Photography showcased wedding albums and photo ideas, while Mission Hill winery served glasses of their finest selections. Zing papery & design had a table full of elusive, creative wedding invitations and thank you cards for every taste. The affordable mobile make up service Beauty Calls was also on site for consultation.
The talented Adam Woodall played acoustic guitar in the background over the excited chatter that filled the room. It was great to see a select handful of Vancouver’s best wedding vendors all in one place, discussing all things wedding with women.
This boutique wedding event for brides-to-be and their entourages was an example of the wedding industry and Hollyburn Country Club gearing their efforts and attention towards today’s real decision makers – brides and their bridesmaids.
